Iris Müller-Westermann – New director of Moderna Museet Malmö

Iris Müller-Westermann will be the new director of Moderna Museet Malmö. Iris Müller-Westermann works as a senior curator at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, and will assume the position of Malmö on 1st January 2017.
Iris Müller-Westermann (born 1955) has worked at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm since 1997.She has been responsible for some of the museum’s most acclaimed exhibitions: Louise Bourgeois – I Have Been To Hell and Back, Lee Lozano, Jutta Koether, Rosemarie Trockel, Munch himself, Max Ernst – Dream and revolution, and not least the exhibition Hilma af Klint – Abstract pioneer who successfully toured throughout Europe and was seen by more than a million visitors.
Iris Müller-Westermann succeeds John Peter Nilsson, who completed his appointment at the end of the year and then continues as a curator at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Iris Müller-Westermann takes up the position as Director of Moderna Museet Malmö by 1 January 2017. The contract is a three-year appointment.
